Jean is an abstract colorist. She works mainly in oil, but also has watercolor, pastel, graphite, and mixed media images. Her work is characterized by a warmth and lyrical beauty which make her paintings a repeated delight to view and enjoy.

She has exhibited in London at the Royal Academy of Arts, the museum founded in the 1770's by Sir Joshua Reynolds, as well as in Sausalito and Mill Valley, California. Many of her paintings are in private collections. Jean was born into an English family residing in India, was educated in Britain, and now lives and paints in San Francisco and Carmel, where she has a studio.
